A Great Start to 2024

Greetings From Ledge,

We are happy to report that some steady rains have swept through the area and we’re not quite done yet. It looks like the weekend will see another few days of precipitation and we’re definitely ready for them.

In winery news, we have blended the 2022 James Berry Vineyard Grenache Blend and are excited to release it this spring. Our 2022 Estate reds and the Bien Nacido Syrah will be offered in the fall along with a very exciting new project, the 2023 Bien Nacido Chardonnay. It is already tasting great but will not be offered until the fall release.

In farming news, we have transplanted our nursery into the vineyard and the rain is sure to give those 2 year old vines a great start.

Ciera has been hard at work on the administrative side and I’m grateful for her hard work and dedication as well as a great deal of family support and positivity.

I’ll be mindful to keep these posts coming, and thanks to Nicole - who helps us in many ways, I now have the ability to post updates here while out on the tractor. No excuses for slacking on the blog!

If you happen to be local and reading this before Thursday January 25th, we will be hosting a pop up at Wines on Main tomorrow in Templeton where we will be pouring a flight of 4 wines from 5-7pm.
